Won’t you review us?

Posting your review helps to bring back all those great memories about being on your favorite windjammer.

How important do you think your online review is to the captain of the boat you sailed on? Very important! Believe it or not, 90-percent of travelers read online reviews before visiting a business. And for nearly 9 in 10 consumers, an online review is as important as a personal recommendation. More often than not, consumers won’t partake in an experience, or make a reservation before reading reviews. And if there are none, they won’t go. That’s why online reviews are so essential in the travel and in the windjamming industry too.

The first place you want to go to post your review is TripAdvisor is the holy grail for travelers seeking experiences with positive reviews. All of the members of the Maine Windjammer Association vessels have their own TripAdvisor pages, which you’ll find by simply naming them in the Search Bar.

Posting a review and photos on TripAdvisor will help spread the word about the joys of windjamming. Did you have a fabulous time on your cruise and wish there was more you could do for the captain and crew? There is! Post your review as soon as you leave, while the windjamming glow is still present.

Another great location for posting a review is Many travelers seeking cruise vacations use this website to research top-rated cruises. Once there, search by ship and scroll down to the Maine Windjammer Association. Each of the boats in the fleet are listed there. Post your review and photos, and once again you’ll have offered the best reward you could to the captain and crew.

Don’t forget to also post a review on Google+. These reviews help the individual boats and the Maine Windjammer Association to show up on Google. This contribution to the windjammers’ visibility is one of the best gifts you could give.

Your feedback helps the windjammers in the fleet and the Maine Windjammer Association too.

Chances are, you’ve posted reviews about hotels and attractions. It’s not too late to post a review of your favorite Maine Windjammer Association boat. Thanks in advance for your time and help.
