When it comes to luxury vehicles, Audi stands tall among the competition, and the 2018 A6 fits nicely into the rest of the lineup. The latest model offers strong, robust powertrains and a wide collection of interior features.
The 2018 Audi A6 comes with two available engines. The first is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that yields 252 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. When combined with a seven-speed S tronic® dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive, this engine delivers average fuel efficiency of 28 mpg in combined city/highway driving, though this powertrain can also be equipped with the brand’s quattro® all-wheel drive, bringing the EPA-estimated fuel economy of 26 mpg combined.*
The second engine is a larger, supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that produces an impressive 340 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with an eight-speed Tiptronic® automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive as standard equipment, giving the larger engine fuel efficiency of 20/29/23 mpg city/highway/combined.*
The Audi A6 overflows with high-tech features, and at the top of the list are three MMI® systems: MMI® radio plus with ten speakers and single CD player with MP3 playback, MMI® Navigation plus with voice control and MMI® touch with handwriting-recognition technology.
The 2018 A6 also comes with a number of entertainment-oriented tools such as SiriusXM® Satellite Radio with a 90-day trial subscription, the Audi music interface with Lightning adapter cable, an Audi smartphone interface with Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™ connectivity and Bluetooth® wireless smartphone connectivity.
The 2018 Audi A6 is well-stocked with comfort features. The seats are upholstered in leather, with the front seats in particular benefitting from in-seat heating and eight-way power adjustments. For greater comfort, the cabin environment is then maintained by a three-zone automatic climate control system — if the standard sunroof isn’t open, that is.
On top of everything, the 2018 Audi A6 has been given a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, making it not just a feature-packed and powerful sedan, but a safe one as well.
