The 2018 Chrysler 300 is one of the most striking large sedans on the market today. Shoppers seeking a new car with bold characteristics and a well-designed interior will be hard-pressed to find a more compelling alternative.
There’s something about the 2018 Chrysler 300 that exudes cool. It’s not preposterously styled like certain imports, and it’s not overly brash like the domestic muscle. Instead, it has a simple shape with wide shoulders and a laid-back stance. The sheet metal wraps around it like a perfectly tailored suit, every detail perfectly placed and proportioned relative to its surroundings. The big 20-inch wheels provide a hint of menace, and the large grille at the front strikes the right balance between bold and sophisticated. Despite its overall brawny look, the 300 nonetheless manages a certain sleekness courtesy of its smooth curves, organic lines and distinguished LED lights.
As a full-size American family car, the 2018 Chrysler 300 offers more room than your average four-door compact sedan or five-door hatchback. Ample rear seat legroom doesn’t sacrifice trunk space, which is measured at over 16 cubic feet. The tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel makes it easy to find the perfect driving position — in addition, of course, to the heated and cooled seats, which can be power-adjusted in just about any way you desire. Furthermore, the panoramic sunroof helps the interior feel even more open, contributing to what amounts to a truly inviting space.
Besides the comfortable and convenient ergonomics, the 2018 Chrysler 300’s interior design can be best described as neat with a significant measure of class. The rotary shift knob and dash-mounted, traditional analog clock, for instance, are more typically found in premium automobiles, and the standard Nappa leather upholstery is supremely smooth and well-crafted, though not as much as the available deep-quilted, premium indigo and linen Nappa leather. Tasteful (and real) wood trim on the center console, door panels and instrument panel completes the look.
It’s hard to find something to dislike about the 2018 Chrysler 300. It has a lot of character, big performance and lots of features to play with. At a time when full-size sedans are largely overshadowed by SUVs, the 300 is a great advertisement for the segment.
