The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 delivers upgraded powertrain options, a practical yet aerodynamic exterior and loads of cutting-edge technology to keep you safe and connected whether you’re on the job or a weekend getaway. If you need a pickup for heavy-duty hauling and towing, you’ll especially appreciate the 2019 Ram 1500’s beefed-up power and capability.
Powertrains and performance
The 2019 Ram 1500’s powerful capability starts with its three robust engine options. The Ram 1500’s standard engine is the mighty 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine, which now comes equipped with performance- and efficiency-boosting eTorque technology. This engine puts out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, and it allows the Ram 1500 to tow a maximum of 7,730 pounds when properly equipped. The available 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine delivers 395 horsepower, 410 lb-ft of torque and 11,610 pounds of max towing capability. When equipped with eTorque, the HEMI® V8 gives the Ram 1500 the ability to tow 12,750 pounds, which is best in class for V8s.*
The Ram 1500’s performance is further aided by its standard TorqueFlite® eight-speed automatic transmission, which optimizes shifting for better efficiency and performance. The Ram 1500 is also available with an Active-Level™ Four Corner Air Suspension system, which can lower the vehicle on the highway to optimize handling and efficiency.
The Ram 1500’s muscular performance pairs nicely with its rugged design and practical exterior features. Built with a high-strength steel frame and sculpted features, the Ram 1500 also incorporates aerodynamic design features like an active air dam and active grille shutter, both of which improve efficiency and reduce drag.
In the back, the Ram 1500 provides maximum cargo bed volume of 61.5 cubic feet — plenty of room for all your hauling needs. The available built-in RamBox® Cargo Management System offers a pair of drainable, lockable storage bins, along with LED lighting, a power outlet and remote access. The RAM 1500’s tailgate can be upgraded to include power release and nitrogen and oil-charged dampening for smoother and more convenient operation.
Infotainment and safety technology
Sitting behind the wheel of the Ram 1500, you’ll have access to an array of the latest technology. To keep you informed and entertained, the Ram 1500 features standard USB charging and auxiliary ports, along with a standard 5-inch Uconnect® touch-screen system. The available Uconnect® 4 system features 8.4-inch or 12-inch screens while offering Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility. Also available: SiriusXM® with 360L, HD Radio™ and a 7-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display.
The Ram 1500 is also equipped with a vast array of standard and available safety technology. Electronic roll mitigation, electronic stability control and Hill Start Assist are standard, as are the Ram 1500’s massive 14.9-inch brakes and advanced airbag technology. The Ram 1500 can also be equipped with numerous available active safety features. Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection help you maintain visibility while towing a trailer or hauling a big load. The 360-degree Surround View Camera gives you a comprehensive look at your surroundings for added safety, while Forward Collision Warning with Advanced Brake Assist helps to mitigate crashes.
From its vigorous engine options to its connected cabin to its rugged and innovative bed, the 2019 Ram 1500 has been completely overhauled to emphasize hard work and dependable performance. Accompanied by the Ram 1500, you’ll be well-prepared to take on the toughest of challenges.
