The 2018 Chrysler 300 is a large luxury car with an attitude. It puts comfort, convenience and style above all else, and with an award-winning Pentastar® engine under the hood, that all makes for a great combination.
The overall design of the 2018 Chrysler 300 has changed little over the past decade — and it hasn’t needed to. Its confident shape, brawny shoulders and crisp sheet metal make for an imposing, if not braggart look. Big 20-inch wheels that fill out the wells only add to the effect, and on upper trims the Chrysler 300 takes on a truly sophisticated air with platinum chrome finishes and premium SRT® LED fog lamps. The inside is decidedly warmer thanks to the extensive use of high-quality materials including deep quilted indigo and linen Nappa leather, real wood trim and high-gloss black trim. The luxury feel is only enhanced by the svelte design of the dashboard and infotainment system.
The 2018 Chrysler 300 uses a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine rated at 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque across all models except the S, which makes 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque, and the range-topping C, which instead uses a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 rated at 363 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. Both engines use an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard across the range, with all-wheel drive offered as an option with the V6 engine. The Pentastar® gets up to 30 mpg on the highway, a very commendable figure for a 300-horespower unit inside a car as large as the Chrysler 300.*
Every 2018 Chrysler 300 is equipped with the Uconnect® 4C infotainment system or Uconnect® 4C NAV system, both of which come with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, BLUETOOTH® audio streaming and integrated voice control. Also offered is a 10-speaker, 552-watt BeatsAudio™ premium sound system with trunk-mounted dual-voice coil subwoofer, which is better to enjoy all the music you can easily access via the aforementioned technologies.
The 2018 Chrysler 300 is the kind of car that seems to succeed at everything it tries. It’s spacious, capable, technologically advanced and luxuriously comfortable. Unless you need a third row, it’s hard to argue needing anything else than a 300.
