Tackle the snow and ice with the 2017 Jeep® Wrangler Winter Edition

It’s hard to imagine a more adventure-ready vehicle than the 2017 Jeep® Wrangler, so perhaps it’s no surprise that the model that surpasses it is none other than the special Winter Edition of the Wrangler itself.

Available on both the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited and inspired by the daring winter athletes that will wow the world next year at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, the 2017 Jeep® Wrangler Winter (MSRP $36,445) is a unique trim that, unlike many other limited edition models sold by competing manufacturers, does more than just blacken the wheels and throw on some special badging.

For starters, the Wrangler Winter comes with many of the regular Wrangler’s most popular packages, such as the Connectivity Group and Power Convenience Group, which include features like power heated exterior mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Uconnect® Voice Command and tire pressure monitoring, among others—many of which you may find useful in winter conditions.

Interior comfort and style is touched up with tasteful piano black accents and heated front seats in black McKinley leather—perfect for staying comfortable while trekking through icy wastelands. If your adventures take you outside the vehicle, you won’t want to get it dirty when you come back, which is why all-weather slush mats that protect the carpet have also been included. Even the nine-speaker premium Alpine® Audio System—complete with four 6.5-inch speakers, four tweeters and a subwoofer—is weatherproofed.

The 2017 Jeep® Wrangler Winter makes full use of the brand’s best off-roading technologies, such as the Command-Trac® 4x4 System that maximizes traction on all surfaces and the Dana 44 rear axle with Trac-Loc® limited slip differential. Those truly intent on conquering the rocks and dirt will want to check the box next to the available Tru-Lock® electronic rear locker, which makes the Wrangler Winter even more adept at taking on the path least traveled. The standard all-terrain BFGoodrich KO2™ tires, which are rated for mud and snow, take the car’s capabilities to an even greater level.

To protect the 2017 Jeep® Wrangler Winter from all the abuse it’s bound to encounter, it has also been equipped with off-road steel bumpers—conveniently winch-capable—and premium off-road rock rails that resist twisting when sliding over rocks and boulders, ensuring the side of the car remains intact.

It would be a shame to get all of that and not have a little extra style to show for it. The Wrangler Winter ensures you’ll turn heads when you’ve returned from your expedition with various exterior design updates, such as the mid-gloss black wheels and body-color grille with mid-gloss black throats. Furthermore, the special black fuel filler door and black taillamp guards not only enhance the Wrangler Winter’s rugged look but also ensure the filler door and taillamps are better protected from the harsh elements.

Given all of these excellent features and the unsurpassed off-roading capability, adventurers and adrenaline junkies will surely not want to miss an opportunity to check out the 2017 Jeep® Wrangler Winter and 2017 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Winter.
