Vehicle Details: Jeep® Awards
The all-American brand continues to impress the critics

Looking at the steady stream of awards that the Jeep® brand earns, you’ll start to understand why people say, “here’s nothing like a Jeep.” In order to fully appreciate the latest models in the Jeep lineup, you should test drive one or two for yourself, but until you get the chance, why not let Jeep’s recent awards speak for themselves?

For example, the 72 members of the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) recently evaluated 82 SUVs, crossovers and pickups over two days of on and off-road driving, and after the dust settled, four Jeep models won accolades.

The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk® (Midsize SUV) and 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (Off-Road SUV) won their respective categories for the seventh consecutive year, while the 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk (Compact SUV) won for the fourth straight year in a row. The 2016 Jeep Renegade (Compact CUV) also got in on the action for the second year in a row.

“Their unique styling, Texas-tested capability and leading value proposition have made the Grand Cherokee, Cherokee and compact Renegade a repeat favorite of our voting members in their respective classes,” said Nic Phillips, TAWA president.

SUVs aren’t historically known for their fuel economy, but Jeep isn’t your typical brand, so it should come as no surprise that the Grand Cherokee Summit EcoDiesel was given a Green ALV award at this year’s Active Lifestyle Vehicle (ALV) awards. The ceremony was held at the San Marcos Golf Resort in Arizona this past October. The Grand Cherokee Summit EcoDiesel was given praise for its combination of impressive fuel economy (with over 725 miles of driving range), luxury amenities and versatility that outdoor enthusiasts and athletes demand.

“Individuals with active lifestyles don’t want the vehicles they drive to limit where they travel, or the amount of gear they can carry,” said Nina Russin, ALV co-founder.

The Grand Cherokee also garnered an important safety designation, earning a 5-Star Overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the fourth consecutive year, with top ratings in side pole, frontal barrier and side barrier tests.

The value of a Jeep is hard to beat too; proving this, the Grand Cherokee and Renegade were named a “Best Buy” in the Mid-size SUV and Subcompact SUV segments respectively from Consumers Digest. This is the seventh consecutive year for the Grand Cherokee and the second in a row for the Renegade.

It’s no secret that people love the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited; in fact, Strategic Vision recently named it to their “Most Loved Vehicle in America” list, topping the Entry SUV segment. Strategic Vision gets their information from 44,000 owners who complete their New Vehicle Experience Study. For a vehicle to be chosen, buyers can’t simply like their vehicle--they have to love it.

Stop by today to test drive any of the award-winning Jeep models, and see why Jeep vehicles are so special.
