Vehicle Preview: The All-New 2017 Compass
The most advanced compact SUV in its class

The all-new 2017 Jeep® Compass is set to reestablish itself as the go to compact SUV across the globe with all the capability, performance and technology you’ve come to expect. Unveiled this past November at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show and set to arrive on dealer lots in the coming months, the all-new Jeep will offer the design, capability, fuel efficiency, performance, advanced safety and technology features that compact SUV buyers demand.

“Our all-new 2017 Jeep Compass enters an extremely important and growing segment worldwide, and does so with an unmatched list of attributes that includes benchmark 4x4 off-road capability, exceptional on-road driving dynamics, fuel-efficient powertrains, countless advanced technology and safety features, all wrapped in a premium, authentic Jeep design,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. “Built around the world for customers everywhere, Jeep Compass raises the bar in the compact-SUV segment.”

The all-new 2017 Compass has a new premium design that is bold and distinctive with a dramatic roofline, strong shoulders and a clamshell hood. The seven-slot grille lends a familiar face, but new gloss black fields for the chrome slots give it a fresh look. Available features include an available power liftgate and dual-pane sunroof.

The premium interior shows impressive attention to detail and places a main emphasis on technology. There are four available Uconnect® infotainment systems (with available Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™), and you can choose from two different driver information display instrument clusters, including a seven-inch option that’s the largest in the segment.

There are four available trims for the all-new Compass – Sport, Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk® – and Jeep will offer two advanced 4x4 systems that make it the most capable compact SUV ever. Jeep Active Drive is a full-time system that can help you make the most of poor driving conditions, and it includes the Jeep Selec-Terrain® system for optimal performance. A power take-off unit and disconnecting rear axle help maximize fuel economy.

Trailhawk models are standard with the full-time Jeep Active Drive Low system, along with other features that allow it to achieve best-in-class Trail Rated® capability. The Selec-Terrain system has an extra setting for “Rock” and adds Selec-Speed® Control with Hill Descent Control. Unique fascias give the Trailhawk model a 30-degree approach angle, 34-degree departure angle and 24-degree breakover angle, along with nearly 20-inches of water fording. An increased ride height, unique tow hooks, skid plates and 17-inch off-road tires add even more flair.

Powering the all-new Compass will be a 2.4-liter Tigershark engine that makes 180 hp and 175 lb/ft of torque – good for fuel estimates up 30 mpg highway. This engine is paired with one of three available transmissions, including a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic and class-exclusive nine-speed automatic.

The Compass is available with over 70 safety and security features. All models are built using a strong shell that’s built using over 65 percent high-strength steel. Additionally, the Compass enjoys advanced features including Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection, Forward Collision Warning-Plus and LaneSense® Departure Warning-Plus. All models are standard with seven airbags and Electronic Stability Control.

The all-new 2017 Jeep Compass is the small SUV that’s big on capability, design and performance. Stop by to find out more so you can be among the first to see one when it arrives.
