As the most awarded and best-selling minivan of all time, the Dodge Grand Caravan seemingly can't get any better-until you look at the 2017 model.
Dodge has simplified the Grand Caravan lineup for the 2017 model year, offering four distinctive trim levels: SE, SE Plus, SXT and GT. With a starting MSRP of $24,995, the 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan SE costs $1,100 less than the 2016 SE model. All Grand Caravan models come with a standard 6.5-inch touchscreen and ParkView® backup camera, as well the unbeatable Stow 'n Go® seating and storage system, sunscreen glass and heated exterior mirrors. Seating is available for up to seven, and cargo capacity is rated up to 143 cubic feet.
With just four trim levels available, Dodge has simplified the buying process and made it easier for you to find what you're looking for. SE Plus models come with 17-inch wheels, a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and Uconnect® handsfree. The SXT adds a remote start and security alarm, automatic headlights, fog lamps, power sliding doors and liftgate and the Stow 'n Place® roof rack. A Blacktop Package is also available, bringing a sleek and sophisticated air to the Grand Caravan with a blacked-out exterior and an all-black interior with silver accent stitching. The GT model is the best-equipped, coming with standard leather upholstery with striking red accent stitching, heated front- and second-row seats, tri-zone automatic temperature control, a Navigation system with Uconnect voice command, a heated steering wheel and a nine-speaker audio system. The GT also gets a performance suspension, trim-specific exterior and 17-inch polished wheels.
Powering the Grand Caravan is a 283-hp version of the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine that produces 260 lb/ft of torque. It can be run on Flex Fuel, and drivers can expect fuel estimates of up to 25 mpg highway. All-Speed Traction Control and Electronic Stability Control help you maintain optimal handling and grip. A Towing Package is available, enabling the Grand Caravan to haul as much as 3,600 pounds--and Trailer Sway Control helps make sure it's done safely.
The 2017 Grand Caravan offers more than 55 safety and security features with a strong steel frame serving as its foundation. Standard safety features include seven airbags (including three-row side curtains and a driver's side knee airbag), a Tire Pressure Monitoring System and antilock brakes. The available Safety Sphere Package adds a Blind Spot Monitoring System and Rear Cross Path Detection to help you stay out of trouble, as well as ParkSense® Rear Park Assist.
There's a reason that the Dodge Grand Caravan has won so many awards. With standout features, impressive performance, utility, versatility and excellent value, the 2017 Grand Caravan continues to be a great choice for families.
