Subaru’s Share the Love® Returns to Help Make a Difference
Subaru hopes to top $140 million in cumulative donations in event’s 11th year
The Subaru Share the Love® charity drive returns for its 11th year, marking three years in a row where there will be no cap on maximum donations. Following a successful 2017 campaign in which $23.8 million was raised for national and local charities, Subaru is hoping to surpass $140 million donated since the start of the annual event.
From Nov. 15, 2018, to Jan. 2, 2019, Subaru will donate $250 for every Subaru purchased or leased at dealerships throughout the United States. All funds raised will be divided amongst four major charities and more than 681 Hometown Charities. With the help of more than 600 dealers, the 2017 Subaru Share the Love® event raised $23.8 million, bringing the total amount raised to more than $118 million since 2008. With another year of no maximum for donations, Subaru hopes to bring that total to more than $140 by the conclusion of this year’s event.
“Subaru of America, Inc. has had the immense pleasure of working with a host of national and local charities throughout the life of the Subaru Share the Love Event,” said Alan Bethke, senior vice president of Marketing at Subaru of America, Inc. “Now in its eleventh consecutive year, we look forward to continuing our support of the incredible causes and organizations our brand and our owners care most about, and witnessing how this year’s donations will positively impact the world around us.”
The 2018 Subaru Share the Love® event is another endeavor in Subaru’s quest to do good in the world because it is simply the right thing to do. Join us in making a difference by purchasing or leasing a new Subaru at a participating dealer during this year’s event, and drive away knowing that you did your part in making the world a better place.
