The Buick Regal has gone through some rather dramatic changes for the 2018 model year. The former sedan model has been transformed into two different vehicles: the 2018 Buick Regal Sportback and the 2018 Buick Regal TourX. One thing that has been carried over from the previous Regal generation is the GS trim. Included as the highest trim of the Sportback model, the 2018 Buick Regal Sportback GS includes the same power and performance that automotive enthusiasts have come to expect from the Regal GS.
Supplying the right amount of power
Right from the start, the new Buick Regal receives a big boost in power compared to the previous generation. All trims in the Regal Sportback lineup include the 2.0-liter turbocharged DOHC engine, complete with Variable Valve Timing (VVT). This powertrain helps the Regal Sportback generate 250 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque.
The GS trim continues to place an emphasis on performance, with interior and exterior features that assist in this mission. On the outside are attractive and practical 19-inch aluminum wheels with Technical Gray accents. Inside you’ll find high-performance front bucket seats with heating and ventilation. With a leather-wrapped, three-spoke Sport steering wheel completing the cockpit-esque cabin, the 2018 Buick Regal Sportback GS will help you achieve a thrilling ride every time.
Creating a safe driving experience
Safety is the most important thing that a vehicle can provide. The Regal Sportback model includes a collection of standard safety systems, including a rear vision camera and the StabiliTrak® stability control system. The GS trim adds even more advanced systems to the model’s safety suite, including Front and Rear Park Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert.
The spirit of performance once found with every Regal GS vehicle lives on in the new 2018 Buick Regal Sportback GS.
