The 2019 Kia Soul carries on the model’s legacy of unique style with its distinctive shape and bright color options. Beyond the fun exterior is a car that is serious about providing a driving experience and list of features that modern drivers like you demand.
Under the hood
There are three engine options for the Kia Soul, one for each of its three trim levels. The Kia Soul Base comes with a compact 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve I-4 engine that achieves 130 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque. This makes it perfectly capable as a peppy daily driver. It also has a very respectable fuel economy, with 27 combined mpg with the six-speed manual transmission and 28 combined mpg when equipped with a six-speed automatic.*
The Kia Soul + (Plus) has a slightly larger 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve I-4 engine. It achieves 161 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. The increased performance comes with minimal sacrifice in fuel efficiency at 27 mpg combined.*
The Kia Soul ! (Exclaim) comes standard with a 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve I-4 engine with a turbocharger. While the engine is the same size as the one on the Kia Soul Base, the turbocharger means that it can reach 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, all while maintaining 28 combined mpg.* All three engines on the Kia Soul are more than capable of handling your driving needs.
Safety and entertainment
In 2019, the car world is all abuzz about technology, and the 2019 Kia Soul is ready to deliver.
