Youth Encounter seeks a dynamic person to fill the role of
Development Division Executive. This person will also direct the Lutheran Youth
Encounter Foundation. Youth Encounter is a non-profit with a mission of
strengthening the Church through the
Christian faith, ministry, and leadership of its youth. This is done in a
variety of ways, including sending out relational music ministry teams both
nationally and internationally, regional youth events, national youth events,
and international and national work crews. Youth Encounter’s annual budget is
approximately $6 million.
The Development Division Head
will be responsible for:

securing major gifts from current donors
·
finding and soliciting gifts from new donors
·
creating seminars that will inform donors on planned
giving options and working with congregations to present these seminars to
perspective donors
·
writing grants and seeking new grants for the
organization will be a necessary part of this position.
·
directing the Lutheran Youth Encounter Foundation
·
overseeing leadership of the Development Department
·
ensuring that budgets are met
Qualifications for this position
are a B.A. and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in Development. Training and
knowledge of Planned Giving will be extremely helpful. A freedom and a
willingness to travel is a must. This person must have a passion for youth
ministry and a spiritual commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We are
looking for an articulate, organized person who can relate to people and
passionately share the story of Youth Encounter, and in doing so, motivate
people to give significant gifts to further our ministry.
