New Life and New Teams!
Youth Encounter Recruitment
by Jeff Rowdon

It’s April--a time when we often celebrate new life and the Easter holiday.  I have been so encouraged by the coming of spring this year… the chance to be outside and enjoy the weather without a jacket… the lengthening of the days… there’s just something refreshing about it.  I hope the month of April has been a time for you to be renewed in your mind, body and spirit.

So why is a guy from the Recruitment Department at Youth Encounter writing about new life and the refreshing time that is spring?  Probably because I’ve got our new year of team ministry on my mind!

This coming August we will be putting thirteen ministry teams on the road.  Eight of them will travel here in the USA--we call them Captive Free.  Five other teams will travel both in the USA and other amazing places like East Africa, South America, Denmark, Australia, Taiwan and the Philippines.  We are getting so excited about all that God will do through and among these teams of young adults.

So why am I telling you all of this?  To get you excited?  To get you interested?  YES!!  We’re still looking for folks who have a heart to share the Good News that Jesus is risen indeed with others through relationships and many of the performing arts like music, drama, puppet shows…can you stand it?!

So if you or someone you know is a musician (drummer, bass player, guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist, etc.) who also has a heart for ministry, give us a call.  And if you’re not a musician, but you also have a heart for ministry, there are other ways to serve. Each one of our teams travels with a sound tech who gets trained by our staff to run sound for the team – experience is wonderful, but not necessary. We’ll teach you how to do it!

So what are you waiting for?  Call me (I’m Jeff) at 800-659-6884 ext. 243 or email me at jeff@youthencounter.org. You can also contact my partner in ministry Sarah at the same toll free number and ext. 234 or at sarahl@youthencounter.org. You can also find out more about Team Ministry by visiting the Youth Encounter website.  The address for the Team Ministry page is http://www.youthencounter.org/teams.

May this spring be an amazing time for you to remember the wonder of the new life we have in Jesus.
