Whether you’re a FINK veteran or just getting started, join change
agents from all over the world (that’s right – all over the
world!) for four days of learning,
doing, networking & team-building. It all happens July 12-15, 2004 at the
Faith Inkubators’ 9th Annual
Renaissance Team Training Conference in beautiful Stillwater,
MN.
Why Come To Renaissance?
Come let Faith Inkubators’ national training staff and raving
FINKs from our Partner Training Network help you mold the gifts and talents of
your best trainers, guides, youth workers, pastors, musicians, volunteers and
senior high youth into a proactive, cohesive family ministry team.
How Do We Do This?
Each day of Renaissance 2004, we will:
- Conduct interactive
training sessions designed to provide both the theoretical background and
useful “how to” information for such Faith Inkubators’ mainstays as
brain-based learning, Head to the Heart Adolescent Confirmation,
Generations In Faith Together (GIFT), and Faith Stepping Stones - this
year with simultaneous tracks specifically designed to match your level of
FINKification…from FINK beginner
to the most cagy veteran.
- Help you
develop/sharpen the gifts & talents of all of the various volunteer
groups associated with your family ministry with specialized breakout
sessions for Guides, Theme Teams, Musicians and Tech Teams.
- Model an actual
FINK theme event from soup to nuts, so you can see and experience the
overall FINK learning system used in all of our educational processes for
yourself.
Senior High Apologetics
Focus:
This years’ modeled theme events will feature a new Christian
world-view series for high school youth that Faith Inkubators is
prototyping and field testing. The course, “Why God?” written by FINK Partner
Rev. Dana Hanson of First Lutheran Church in Northridge, CA, is the first in a
three-year project that will include “Why Jesus” and “Why the Bible.”
Our four theme events at Renaissance will be: 1. “The Origin of
the Universe: Big Bang of the Universe” (Cosmology); 2. “The Origin of Life: Big
Bang of Life” (Biology); 3. “The Origin of Humanity: Big Bang of the Brain”
(Psychology); 4. “The Origin of the Soul” (Morality). Bring your best senior
high youth to get in on the ground floor!
