A Word from the Side By Side Director
by Emma Kasiga

“The most significant thing learned on this trip: That you can be best friends with someone who doesn’t speak your language.”

~Ryan, Side By Side Global Work Crew to Tanzania, 2003

The mission of SIDE BY SIDE is to build genuine relationships founded in God’s love, forged in the experience of cross-cultural living, working, and worshipping “side by side”.

Are you ready to experience how God will use YOU in on a short-term overseas ministry crew this summer? We still have spots available on our Side By Side Global Work Crews to India and Belize for this summer, happening from July 9th to August 6th 2004! (Spots for the Tanzania Location are already filled up and only one spot remains for Kenya).

There will never be a better time than this summer: that is, there will always be things to prevent you from going--if you let them… And program fee will always be a concern. However, as the saying goes, “where there is a will, there is a way”: if you are willing to serve God through working alongside His people overseas, well, let go of your fears, work hard towards your fundraising goals, and “let God”.

If you are still considering the ministry opportunities for this summer but have not made up your mind yet, please keep praying about it, and do not hesitate to call or write and ask for more information (1-800-65YOUTH x250 or sbs@youthencounter.org).
