Spoke Folk 2003...Are You Ready?
Meet the New Spoke Folk Director!
by Eric Arundel

Hello all!  Welcome to Spoke Folk 2003!  Spoke Folk is a biking and musical ministry tour made up of high school and college-aged youth, as well as adult counselors from many different states. During a 12 day tour, Spoke Folk bikes from place to place to share a Christ-centered music program that includes contemporary Christian music, puppets, skits, and personal sharings.

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Eric Arundel and I’m the new Spoke Folk director as of January 2nd.  Before taking this position I was involved with many of the ministries of Youth Encounter including National Band and Spoke Folk (MN02).  I’m really looking forward to working with all these wonderful Spoke Folkers who have made me feel at home immediately upon starting this job (on the second day, to be exact!).   But enough about me…At this point we have about 20 people signed up for this summer’s tours with many more coming in daily.  The tours this summer are going to be in such exotic locales as: Northeastern Maryland/Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southwestern Michigan, Northwestern Illinois and Western Minnesota. Tour dates are:

Illinois
  June 18-29, 2003
Maryland
  June 18-29, 2003
Michigan
  July 2-13, 2003
Minnesota
  July 30-Aug 10, 2003

So if you’d like to join us on one of these tours, please register as soon as possible.  We have about 120 spots left and, believe it or not, those spots can go quickly.  Also, if you are in one of these areas and you’d like to have Spoke Folk come to your church please free to contact me.  If you have any other questions you can contact me at 1-800-659-6884 ex. 217 or e-mail me at spokefolk@youthencounter.org  Thanks!
