“Your program works and its success is due to the dedication of so many people...that work hard behind the scenes for our youth...I know the weekends are planned mostly for the youth but I must say I was ministered to in a BIG way.  Don’t stop.”
 
I recently received this in an e-mail from an adult leader who recently attended one of the Fall events.  So often the e-mails we receive about our events come from youth who have attended.  This one, however, caused me to stop and remember that, although Youth Encounter is a ministry organization dedicated to “strengthening the church through the Christian faith and ministry of its youth,” there are so many more people who God uses for ministry at our events.  In addition to the staff (administrators, speakers, musicians, trek leaders and countless others), there are the youth that attend, adult leaders and Event Planning Crew volunteers who minister to each other and touch the lives of those not attending our events with whom we come in contact--other hotel guests and hotel staff.  Particularly at this time of year as we approach Christmas and the celebration of the birth of our Lord, I am thankful to be a part, not only of this organization, but also partners with you in the greater ministry that God provides often without our even knowing it.   In the words of this adult leader, “Don’t stop.”
