Meet Jonathan Rundman
Independent Artist Shares His Thoughts on Music and More
by Youth Encounter

Jonathan Rundman is a Midwest-based songwriter, performer and recording artist whose music has been called “a welcome return to the simple essence of rock and roll.” His songs have been acclaimed in the pages of BILLBOARD magazine, and heard on radio stations from coast to coast. One of Jonathan’s new songs entitled “The Serious Kind” has been selected as a program song for the 2003 ELCA Youth Gathering…listen for it if your youth group plans on going to Atlanta for the gathering! Jonathan also has a long history in youth ministry. He has toured nationally and overseas with Youth Encounter’s Captive Free teams, worked as Outreach Director at Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and spent four years as youth director at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Eugene, Oregon. Jonathan lives in Minneapolis with his wife Dawn who is an editor at Augsburg Fortress publishers. Jonathan was kind enough to take some time to share some of his current adventures in music and ministry...

Faith Inkubators University 2003
Advanced Faith Inkubators Systems Training
by Faith Inkubators

For novice Faith Inkubators members (affectionately known as FINKs) and others wanting a more thorough understanding of our systems, Faith Inkubators is pleased to announce the FINK University training schedule for 2003. The new Youth Encounter partnership and a growing demand in multiple denominations have created a need to train dozens of teachers, thinkers and workshop leaders in the Faith Inkubators systems. By attending a FINK U, you will be certified to teach our systems and will be invited to join our list of presenters for Quakes, Congresses, conventions and other future training events. All courses are held at our beautiful headquarters building at 423 South Main Street in the quaint river town of Stillwater, Minnesota. All FINK U guests are housed at Lumber Baron’s Hotel overlooking the St. Croix River just a nine-iron’s shot from the Faith Inkubators headquarters.

Save the Date
by Brett Koopman

Youth Encounter's 4th Annual Fellowship Dinner will take place on May 19, 2003 in St Louis Park, Minnesota.  This year's event will focus on Youth Encounter's international ministry efforts. During this difficult time in our world, ministry with young people in Christ's name is so important.  Rev. Chuck Lindquist, Director of World Mission Prayer League, is our special guest speaker.  Rainbow of Promise will provide music and share about their ministry in India and Nepal.  Please join us for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship as we share the impact of Youth Encounter's ministry.  For more information, please contact Brett Koopman at 1-800-65YOUTH, or by e-mail: brett@youthencounter.org
