It's one thing if we are working under deadline or on an urgent project, but 90% of the time that's not the case....and the calls keep coming. Pinch Me...or Don't
We are looking for a lot of new hires in my group. A coworker of mine said to me, knowingly guilty, that a candidate he just interviewed was really qualified. "But," he continued, "She is married, so I just know that right after she starts, she is going to get pregnant. I bet within six months." I didn't even know how to respond. Seeing the disapproving look on my face, he exclaimed, "Think about it from a hiring perspective!"
