A recent study from the Simmons School of Management shows that women opting for flexible work schedules are earning the same as female counterparts who maintain traditional work schedules. Ask Liz
If I leave my current company, I owe them for relocation expenses. What should I do?
Dear Liz, My company paid to transfer me to a new state twelve months ago. I'm considering leaving my company and finding another job, but I'm required to pay back the moving expenses (prorated) if I leave before 18 months. Stand and Deliver
Pinch Me...or Don't
In a recent position I was invited to give a presentation on our organization to an all-male audience as part of a professional development luncheon. Apparently the previous presenter spoke briefly about erectile dysfunction. I guess this was a good opportunity to reach the target audience. I've never had such a brief and unexpected introduction as I did that day when the host welcomed me to the stage simply with, "And now we'll hear from Amber, better than Viagra." As if that weren't shocking enough, a larger-than-life plastic model of a penis remained on the table next to me for the duration of my talk. - Amber, PrairieWIT

Give the Axe to Performance Review Anxiety
"Employees and managers alike often look at the annual performance review as the corporate equivalent of going to the dentist, but they shouldn't. Well-prepared-for, forthright, performance-review discussions can not only help bring individual and team performance to the next level, but improve the relationship between employee and manager as well." Liz Ryan's BusinessWeek article and accompanying slideshow offer advice for both managers and employees on how to deal with performance reviews, sans dread.
