Pinch Me...or Don't
I was hired for my current position seven months ago. The job had been repeatedly vacated prior to my hiring and it is an extremely tough position with no training or support. I worked extremely hard to catch up with all the backlog, develop the position, etc., to be told (as a compliment!) by the executive director after four months, "You're doing really well. You have really validated my opinion of myself as director." -E.C, ChicWIT

The Pay Day
The Supreme Court is currently deliberating a case on pay-discrimination. The woman claims, "that after 19 years at the company's Gadsden, Ala., plant, she was making $6,000 a year less than the lowest-paid man in the same job....A jury agreed, but an appeals court overturned the verdict." The arguments and final decision could have major implications for both employees and employers as it could alter the statute of limitations regarding filing an unequal pay charge.
