Conversation Abort
Pinch Me... or Don't!
At a business dinner with members of my team and my client's team, a younger male on the client's team suddenly, during pre-dinner small talk about family activities, launched into a discussion about abortions and abortion rights, speaking very explicitly about third-trimester abortions. I was so shocked, I literally choked on my drink. This caught his boss' attention and he quickly changed topics. Interestingly there were six women at the table, all of child-bearing age: three mothers of young children and two pregnant. He obviously thought his remarks were funny given his audience.
