Visiting an out-of-town client who could obviously see I was pregnant, I explained my short maternity leave wouldn't adversely impact the project. Learning it was to be my first child, the client inquired, "So, how long have you been married?" When I answered, "Nineteen years," the immediate, astonished response was, "To the same man?"
