Camp WorldWIT Scholarships

Dear WorldWIT folks,

I have exciting news to announce! The sponsors of Camp WorldWIT: Upward Bound have been so supportive of this event that we are in a position to join with them to offer a small number of scholarships (free registrations) to the Camp WorldWIT event on May 20-23, 2004 in Salem County, New Jersey.

The scholarships to Camp WorldWIT: Upward Bound will be awarded based on categories of women who fit the WorldWIT profile and worldview - we have scholarships available in each of the following categories:

1) Category One: Professional women who started out in a historically 'female' job - nursing, teaching, or social service - and moved into the corporate, entrepreneurial, or professional services realm during their careers

2) Category Two: Women entrepreneurs who started their businesses after or while raising a family

3) Category Three: Minority women in corporations, entrepreneurial ventures, professional services, the media, government or not-for-profits

4) Category Four: Women who worked in technology at least five years and are currently unemployed

5) Category Five is reserved for women who don't fall into any of these categories, but have other reasons to attend Camp WorldWIT and for whom attendance at Camp would help fulfill professional and personal goals.

Tell us your story! Please send a brief bio and details of your scholarship request to Kristi Hughes at
kristih@worldwit.org. Scholarship winners will be awarded a full scholarship to Camp WorldWIT: Upward Bound on May 20-23, 2004 at Appel Farm Arts and Music Center in Salem County, New Jersey. The scholarship includes lodging, all meals, and the Camp WorldWIT program. Transportation is the responsibility of the scholarship winner. All scholarship nominees must be at least 18 years old. Thanks!

We look forward to seeing you at Camp!

Liz Ryan
