Celebrate the Coming of Spring Napa Style
 
Spring has come to the Napa Valley and wherever you are in the nation, you, too, can celebrate the coming bloom of Spring with Napa Valley Style. Entertain your friends with a spring get-together and pop the cork on a new season. Learn how you can provide your friends with the greatest trip to the wine country – your own Wine Tasting event.

Have on hand a refreshing selection of Spring wines. From our new crisp white blend, the Fleur Bleu White Bouquet or our lightly sweet Moscato. Add a sparkling wine or two (or a sparkling wine cocktail as shown below) and you are all set to celebrate. Keep the food simple – something as light as our Asparagus salad recipe. You belong with your guests, not in the kitchen.

For the easiest entertaining idea of all. Contact your Wine Consultant and learn how you can provide your friends with the greatest trip to the wine country – your own Wine Tasting event. All you’ll need to offer your guests are a few simple cheeses, fruit, crackers or bread. Your Wine Consultant will do the rest.



Spring Asparagus Salad
Pair with our Fleur Bleu Muscat
The asparagus salad recipe is made with cooked asparagus, a mustard vinaigrette, a little onion, and chopped roasted red peppers.


Ingredients:
• 1 pound fresh asparagus, cooked and drained
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
• 2 tablespoons salad oil
• 2 tablespoons vinegar
• 2 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
• lettuce
• 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped roasted red bell pepper

Preparation:
Place asparagus in a shallow dish. In bowl, combine salt, mustard, oil, vinegar, and minced onion. Pour over asparagus. Cover and chill for 1 to 2 hours. Drain off marinade and serve asparagus on lettuce-lined plates with a sprinkling of roasted red pepper.



Fleur Bleu 2011 California Moscato
This Fleur Bleu 2011 California Moscato has tons of citrus, orange blossom, lychee and floral aromas with hints of mint and aromatic spices. The flavors are sweet but balanced with a silky mouthfeel and refreshing acidity. All of the aromas and flavors persist through the long and delicious finish. Enjoy this wine with your favorite fruit dessert, salmon, Thai green curries, vegetable soup or mild cheeses such as mozzarella.



Sparkling Blueberry Cocktail

Ingredients:
2 oz. Sparkling Wine
1 ½ oz. Blueberry vodka
2 oz. Fresh lemonade
 
Preparation:
Shake all ingredients in a martini shaker with ice. Strain into the glass (chilled martini glass or Collins glass with ice) rimmed with sugar. Top with a dash more Sparkling Wine. Garnish with fresh blueberries. Share and Enjoy!



Petit Cadeau California Semi-SecoSparkling Wine
Our Petit Cadeau California Semi-Seco has aromas of green apple, pear and flowers with hints of orange and anise. The flavors are fruity, with a light sweetness. This sparkling has good acidity and a pleasant medium weight on the palate with a long sweet finish. Enjoy this sparkling wine with Sushi, fruit based desserts, spicy Chinese food or light cheeses such as fresh mozzarella. Or, enjoy it all by itself!
