Don't Miss the Opportunity to Chat with the Expert

Tomorrow is the day!  WE MOVE wants to remind you about tomorrow's Ask the Expert live on-line chat event for people living with Parkinson's disease and their family members and caregivers. The theme for this live chat is "Off-time Management in Parkinson's disease (PD)." Participants are invited to discuss their experiences with "off" time and to ask questions of the expert, Mark Stacy, MD.  Dr. Stacy is Medical Director of the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Center at Duke University Medical Center. Topics to be covered include: what exactly is "off-time"; how people living with PD identify "wearing off" and describe it to their doctors; and what treatment options are available for "off-time" management.

Ask the Expert Live Chat Event:
Date: September 29, 2003
Time: 7:00 p.m. EDT

To Get to the Chat Room, follow these instructions:
1. Go to http://www.wemove.org/chat
2. Hit "Continue" at the bottom of the page (after reading the disclaimer, etc.)
3. On the next page, you will be asked for a nickname.  Choose your own name and type it into the "Nickname" box.
4. Hit "Connect"
5. You will then be in the main WE MOVE chat room.  Click on the tab on the right that says "Rooms”
6. When the list of rooms appears, click on “Off-time Management in PD.”

We strongly suggest that you visit the chat area PRIOR to the scheduled event.  In this way, you can be sure that your computer system is compatible with the chat area.  If you experience any technical difficulties, go to http://www.wemove.org/chat/login.html and read instructions at the bottom of the page.
