The 8th annual Vincentric Best Value in America awards were announced with Volvo being named the best value luxury brand.  The award is a testament to Volvo’s remarkable overall value, thanks to programs like the complimentary Safe + Secure Coverage Plan.

The history of autonomous vehicles dates back to 1970s Japan, and various projects are currently underway at universities, research institutes and high-tech companies around the world.  Hundreds of thousands of driverless miles have been clocked up, and proponents of the technology believe that such vehicles will increase road capacity, reduce congestion, and most importantly improve road safety by eliminating driver error.

Volvo is determined to build an injury-proof car by 2020, and the engineers working out the bugs developing so complex a vehicle hope to include a few as well.
