Athletes From Region Dominate ITU World Championships

On October 9, the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Age Group World Championships were held in Honolulu Hawaii. The United States team consisting of more than 600 athletes took 47 age group medals including 24 gold medals, 18 silver and 18 bronze as well as another 13 from its physically challenged team.

2005 Greater Atlantic Multisport Series Wraps Up at Cape Henlopen Triathlon and Duathlon

Athletes were in luck when they arrived at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, DE on the morning of October 9 to participate in the 3rd annual Cape Henlopen Triathlon & Duathlon.

Plans Underway for 2006 USAT-MA Annual Meeting

The USAT-MA Board of Directors is currently making plans for the Region's 2006 annual meeting. The tentative dates and location for the meeting is February 4-5, 2006 in Columbia, MD.

In an effort to attract a larger number of regional USAT members to the annual meeting, the Board is looking for suggestions on how to make the weekend more attrative so as to encourage greater attendance by members.

Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying a nice break from a season for the ages here in the Mid-Atlantic. When I say it was for the ages, I’m not talking about personal bests or maximum efforts: If you got out there and raced this year, chances are you survived a near miss with a Hurricane, a heat wave, or if you were really lucky, both. Chances are it made you one tough triathlete when it was all over. If this sounds familiar, then you already know that nothing that comes your way next year will scare you, right?
