REGISTRATION OPENS FOR 2004 GREATER ATLANTIC MULTISPORT SERIES
Online registration is up and running for all 2004 Greater Atlantic Multisport Series events, produced by Piranha Sports. The Series features a combination of six triathlon and duathlon events in the Mid-Atlantic region, with separate rankings and prizes for those competing in three or more events.

COMERFORD REPEATS TITLE AT IRONMAN FLORIDA
Scotland’s Bella Comerford claimed her second consecutive title at Ironman Florida on Saturday, November 8, 2003. Enjoying near perfect conditions, Comerford finished with an overall time of 9:26:17, less than 30 seconds shy of the course record. Germany’s Timo Bracht won the men’s title in a time of 8:30:29. Eight athletes from the Mid-Atlantic region earned slots to Kona for next year’s Ironman world championship.

COURSE RECORD IS SET AT THE PHILADELPHIA MARATHON
On Sunday November 24, 2003, Kenyan Joseph Nderitu won the Philadelphia Marathon men's title in a course-record record time of 2 hours, 16 minutes, 47 seconds. Nderitu finished more than three minutes ahead second place finisher and fellow Kenyan Charles Kamindo. Right behind Kamindo were two finishers from the Mid-Atlantic Region, Edward Callinan (Cherry Hill, NJ) and Matthew Byrne (Philadelphia, PA). The winner of the women's race was Seana Carmean, (Amherst, Mass.) Carmean barely edged out the Mid-Atlantic Region's Deirdre Brill (Downingtown, Pa.).
