ELITE FIELD DOMINATES BLACKWATER EAGLEMAN

The 22nd annual Blackwater Eagleman triathlon was held on June 14, 2003. This flat, fast, Ironman qualifier has attracted an elite field in recent years, and 2003 was no exception. This year’s field included two-time Ironman World Champion Tim DeBoom, who returned in an attempt to defend his Eagleman title from last year, as well as former Ironman World Champion Lori Bowden.

The 16th Annual Marathon Sports Sprint Triathlon was held on Sunday, June 15, 2003. Sunny skies and the beautiful venue of the St. Andrews School in Middletown, DE, made this race a perfect Father's Day event for racers and participants alike. This sprint race, consisting of a 1/4 mile swim, 16 mile bike, and 3 mile run, started and finished on the campus of the St. Andrews School, which was made famous by filming of the Robin William's movie "Dead Poet's Society".
