ATHLETES BRAVE TOUGH CONDITIONS AT ESCAPE FROM FORT DELAWARE TRIATHLON

Bikers crossing the Reedy Point Bridge (MyRaceDay.com) Despite stormy conditions leading up to the event, the third annual Escape From Fort Delaware Triathlon was a success. ELITE FIELD DOMINATES BLACKWATER EAGLEMAN

The 22nd annual Blackwater Eagleman triathlon was held on June 14, 2003. This flat, fast, Ironman qualifier has attracted an elite field in recent years, and 2003 was no exception. This year’s field included two-time Ironman World Champion Tim DeBoom, who returned in an attempt to defend his Eagleman title from last year, as well as former Ironman World Champion Lori Bowden.

16th ANNUAL MARATHON SPORTS SPRINT TRIATHLON A FAMILY FAVORITE

Race director Wayne Kursh and Male Winner John Holmes The 16th Annual Marathon Sports Sprint Triathlon was held on Sunday, June 15, 2003. Sunny skies and the beautiful venue of the St. Andrews School in Middletown, DE, made this race a perfect Father's Day event for racers and participants alike. This sprint race, consisting of a 1/4 mile swim, 16 mile bike, and 3 mile run, started and finished on the campus of the St. Andrews School, which was made famous by filming of the Robin William's movie "Dead Poet's Society".

THE SCIENCE OF SPEED
http://www.elitewellness.com

We are into another racing season and the anticipation is building…bottom line—“Have I improved since this time last year?”  We all would like to think that the buckets of sweat will translate into less time on the course and more time celebrating after the race.

This month, Jeff and Dan guide you in adding some intensity to your training program.

The science of speed combines two expert perspectives on seasonal triathlon testing, training, and racing and is sponsored by ELITE Testing (a division of ELITE Health & Wellness) (http://www.elitetesting.com), located in Philadelphia.
