Forty age-groupers from the Mid-Atlantic region were recently named to Inside Triathlon magazine’s annual All-Americans list.  In order to be included in the list, athletes had to do well at the big events: the ITU World Championships, USAT nationals and Ironman Hawaii for triathlon and short-course worlds, U.S. nationals and Powerman Zofingen for duathlon.  Factors considered by Inside Triathlon editors include head-to-head competition, the depth of the fields and the time differences between finishers.
 
Six women and 14 men from the region were named duathlon All-Americans while 7 women and 13 men received the same honor for triathlon.
