Todd Wiley (Doylestown, Pa.) and Cecily Tynan (Philadelphia, Pa.) took top honors at the 12th Annual Lighter Than Air Duathlon held August 25th in Lakehurst, N.J.  The race, a 3 mile run, 20 mile bike, and 2 mile run held at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station, was the 2002 USAT Mid-Atlantic region duathlon championship.  The field included 300 competitors from ten states.
 
Wiley won the men's race in a time of 1 hour, 12 minutes, 1 second.  Josh Beck (Carlisle, Pa.), this year's National Age Group champion, was the first age group finisher, finishing in second place overall in a time of 1:13:15.  Brock Butler (Manasquan, N.J.) rounded out the top three. 
 
Tynan won the women’s race in a time of 1:24:55.  Earlier this year, she finished 2nd overall at the National Age Group Championship.  Melissa Maurer (Doylestown, Pa.) was second in 1:27:03 and Kristin Villopoto (Durham, N.C.) finished third.
