Are you a triathlete living or working in Howard County and the surrounding areas? If so, you may want to check out the brand new, USAT-sanctioned Mid Maryland Triathlon Club to find training partners and venues, race buddies, inspiration and fun. The first organizational meeting was held on September 30th, and the club is looking for new members as well as ideas. Current plans include: (1) weekly chip-timed run-bike-run workouts on the Gateway loop in Columbia, with a second session possibly in Anne Arundel or Montgomery County; (2) monthly social gatherings and meetings; (3) organized open water swims for new triathletes; (4) ride/run & dines; (5) an organized youth program and youth triathlon; (6) coached track and pool workouts; and (7) a bulletin board to help members find training partners, advertise informal work out sessions, post local bike and run routes, etc.
