DVORAK, KELLER, MARTIN & LESKE EACH WIN AGE GROUP AT COEUR D’ALENE
Andrea Dvorak (McLean, Va.), Otho Keller (Timonium, Md.), Mac Martin (State College, Pa.) and Brian Leske (Washington, D.C.) took home top honors in their respective divisions at the 2002 USA Triathlon Age Group National Triathlon Championships held in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on August 31st.

WILEY AND TYNAN CLAIM REGIONAL DUATHLON TITLES
Todd Wiley (Doylestown, Pa.) and Cecily Tynan (Philadelphia, Pa.) took top honors at the 12th Annual Lighter Than Air Duathlon held August 25th in Lakehurst, N.J. The race, a 3 mile run, 20 mile bike, and 2 mile run held at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station, was the 2002 USAT Mid-Atlantic region duathlon championship. The field included 300 competitors from ten states.

distance (Skylands Triathlon &
Duathlon (sprint), Make-a-Wish Sea
Colony Triathlon (Olympic), Delaware
Diamondman Triathlon (Half-Ironman), Duke
Blue Devil (Ironman) without leaving the region! If that weren’t enough, September also plays host to two regional
championship races, the Dewey Beach Triathlon
(sprint championship) and Outback
Steakhouse Big Lick Triathlon (collegiate championship).

TEAM USA COMPETES AT DUATHLON LONG COURSE WORLDS
Eleven elite and 36 age group duathletes competed for Team USA on August 18th at the Powerman Long Distance Duathlon World Championships in Weyer, Austria. The long distance course consisted of a 14k (2-lap) run, 76k (2-lap) bike, 7k (1-lap) run.

LINDQUIST, WEALING WIN IN NEW YORK; BALTIMORE RESIDENT KITCHING FINISHES SECOND

Barb Lindquist can put the title women’s U.S. elite national champion back on her impressive resume while elite newcomer Seth Wealing stunned the men’s field on August 18th at the USA Triathlon Elite National Triathlon Championships in New York City. Baltimore resident Tim Kitching finished second in the race which was part of the Second Annual New York City Triathlon.
