The 2010 Nissan Altima is a smart and sporty car that also gives your family a great ride. As Nissan’s best-selling model, it stands out in a very competitive class with its variety of conveniences, options and powertrains.
The Altima is easily recognizable as part of the Nissan family with its distinctive grille, headlamps and taillamps. For the new model year, the front fascia and foglight surrounds have been freshened. Still, what sets this vehicle apart is its aggressive design with crisp lines and contours, as well as the bold flaring on the fenderwells.
The five-passenger Nissan Altima is available as either a sedan or coupe. Sedan models are the 2.5, 2.5 S, 3.5 SR and Hybrid. The base 2.5 trim comes with full power accessories, trip computer, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning with in-cabin microfilter, remote keyless entry with trunk release and 16-inch wheels. The MSRP for the base 2.5 trim is $19,900.

The 2.5 S trim features the convenience of Nissan Intelligent Key™ with Push Button Ignition, a six-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system with audio input jack and various interior trims including dual visor vanity mirrors and driver and front-passenger seatback pockets.
The 3.5 SR trim sports a V6 engine and comes standard with 17-inch split-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, wood-tone interior accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with built-in audio controls, sideview mirrors with integrated turn signals and an eight-way power driver’s seat.
The interior of the Nissan Altima sedan is contemporary with top-notch materials and soft-touch surfaces. The main gauges are white-on-black and easy to read. Seats are comfortable and supportive, and the 60/40-split/folding rear bench seat has room for up to three passengers. Trunk capacity is a family-friendly 15.3 cubic feet.
There are two engine choices. The 2.5 trims come with a 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder that generates 175 hp and 180 lb/ft of torque. The 3.5 model boasts a 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 that delivers 270 hp and 258 lb/ft of torque. All trims (except Hybrid) come standard with an Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with manual mode.
The 2.5 trims deliver impressive fuel economy - an EPA-estimated 23 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.
Thanks to the sports-oriented suspension and precise steering, the Altima appeals to both the driving enthusiasts and those looking for a comfortable and solid ride. Edmunds.com praises the Altima’s CVT stating that it’s “by far the best CVT tested” because of its use of available power and its responsiveness.
The 2010 Nissan Altima was awarded the government’s highest rating, five out of five stars, for protection in both driver and front passegner in frontal crash tests. The Altima earned the top score of “Good” in both frontal-offset and side-impact protection in tests by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The Altima includes some 50 safety features including full-length side-curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes and front-seat side airbags. Traction Control System (TCS) stability control and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) for managing oversteer and understeer come standard on all models.
The 2010 Nissan Altima impresses with comfort, conveniences, sharp handling and solid performance. One test drive will give this attractive car a chance to impress you. We’d be happy to arrange it.
