Remington Zacher sets the bar as one of the most involved students within the College of Business and Public Administration. Remington has been a part of over a half dozen student organizations while still working for the housing department and studying Accounting.
Remington comes from the western part of North Dakota and calls Parshal, ND home. When coming to UND, Remington knew he wanted to have a future in business, but was not sure what the future would bring. During his time here, Remington has found what he wants to do in business, and also how to get there.
One of Remington’s greatest contributions is serving as the CoBPA student senator. Remington has been actively involved in student government for over a year and has created substantial value all around. His experiences have given him an understanding of how the administration works and he has been able to transfer this understanding into making a difference for the students at UND and the CoBPA.
Remington’s main focus as a student senator is to make sure that CoBPA student voices are being heard in student government. This is why Remington has chosen to be involved in the development of the new student group in the CoBPA, "Dean’s Cabinet". Dean’s Cabinet will serve as a student group, connecting students and the administration at the CoBPA.
When asked about his study in Accounting, Remington says that it is immensely challenging, yet rewarding and he believes his Accounting major will help him get his start in business with a major accounting firm upon graduating from UND.
