As you’ll see in this month’s issue of PLM Perspective, many exciting events have taken place over the last month in the world of PLM. Participating with our Siemens Industry Sector colleagues at EMO to demonstrate how merging the virtual world of product planning with the real world of physical production was one highlight. Another was Siemens PLM Connection Europe, our annual user event for customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

It was during this event that we announced our newest solution for increased productivity, flexibility and innovation: NX™ 7 software with HD3D and synchronous technology enhancements. While NX 7 has been under development for a while now, the timing of its release couldn’t be better for companies trying to find their way through the economic storm.

Boston Consulting Group, in a recent survey, asked a group of top executives, “Where does innovation rank among your company’s strategic priorities?” Despite (or perhaps because of) today’s economic climate, 63 percent ranked it as a top or top three priority.
