This month I would like to introduce you to a new member of our management team – Dr. Helmuth Ludwig – who recently joined UGS PLM Software as president. Helmuth is taking the reins from Tilo Brandis who has returned to Germany full time to tend to a family health situation. Needless to say we will miss Tilo, who has been a significant addition to our team, providing great energy, enthusiasm and support for our business and customers.

At the same time, however, we are very excited about Helmuth’s arrival. He joins us from Siemens Systems Engineering, another division of the Automation and Drives (A&D) group, where he has served as president since 2002. He brings a wealth of technology experience and talent to his new position, as well as many connections to and a deep understanding of Siemens’ global operations that will be a strong asset for our business.
