UGS PLM Software - PLM Perspective
Executive Outlook - May/June 2007
Introducing: UGS PLM Software
Tony Affuso
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

In this issue of PLM Perspective I am pleased to introduce you to our new identity. On May 4th Siemens AG completed the acquisition of UGS, and we are now operating as UGS PLM Software – a division of Siemens’ Automation and Drives (A&D) Group. As I wrote to you back in February, this is a pioneering move for the PLM and automation industries and an exciting milestone in our continuing quest to help drive our customers’ innovation and growth goals. Now that we have joined forces, we believe more strongly than ever that, as UGS PLM Software, we will have new opportunities to help our customers gain productivity, efficiency and competitive advantage.

Through our combined portfolios and expanded resources, UGS and Siemens together are creating the only company capable of fully integrating product development from the design stage through production automation and execution, bringing together the virtual world of PLM and the physical world of automation. Most importantly, we are dedicated to doing this through open architected solutions – a core strategy that both UGS and Siemens have always shared because we know it is of critical importance to those who use our products.
