New Conference Name. New Logo. Even Better Event.

The name of the annual user conference organized by PLM World has changed to "UGS Connection Americas 2007." The name change better associates PLM World (the UGS user community) with UGS and its products and solutions and is a common branding for all UGS user events across the world.

The UGS Connection Americas 2007 Users Conference will bring together UGS users, managers, partners and developers of UGS® software into a single integrated conference and will contain three tracks:

• User Connection – in this track, users convene for Technical Presentations, Training Classes, the Vendor Fair, Networking with fellow PLM World Citizen and more. This track is similar in format and content to previous years and is brought to you by the PLM World Users Group.
• Developer Connection (new in 2007) – this three day track caters to UGS partners and developers working on the UGS platform. It offers training and technical discussions led by UGS experts. The first 100 developers to register for UGS Developer Connection receive a FREE copy of Microsoft Visual Studio Professional (retail value: $645). The track is brought to you by UGS.
• Management Connection (new in 2007) – this two day track caters to Managers and focuses on industry best practices that help achieve global product development and delivery excellence around the use of UGS products. This track is brought to you by UGS.

This past year, PLM World integrated the Tecnomatix™ and Solid Edge® user communities into the PLM World community to make sure the PLM World user community represents all UGS products and thereby took steps to improve the coverage model for future conferences and within the PLM World user community.

PLM World is the longest running PLM user community in the industry both in terms of years running and duration at the annual conference. Our annual conference attendance continues to grow at double digits along with a record number of submissions for customer presentations. PLM World is taking the conference to a new level within the PLM industry by integrating UGS users, developers, and management around industry best practices to maintain its leadership as the premiere user community within the PLM industry.

One of the foundational items within the strategy of the PLM World board is that PLM World has been and will continue to be the "Voice of the User" to UGS. In 2007 PLM World will continue to improve the CIP (Customer Input Process) and integrate this to the regional user groups.
