Dear Trucking Law Committee Member:
By now you should all have received your Spring 2010 Edition of In Transit. It is also available online at the DRI website, www.dri.org. Go to the website and click on “Committees”, then click on “Trucking Law” and you will find the current In Transit there.
And as soon as you have read the current edition, please get your own articles ready for submission! The submission deadline for the next issue is June 1, 2010. We are looking for informative articles regarding the trucking industry and all it pertains to. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to become a published attorney.
In case you misplaced the Guidelines for DRI article submission, I am again including it below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to receiving those new articles soon.

GUIDELINES FOR ARTICLES FOR DRI IN TRANSIT
1. Articles should NOT EXCEED five (5) pages in length.
2. Microsoft Word is the preferred formatting.
3. Please present in 12 point Times, Times New Roman, or Garamond font.
4. Linespacing should be set to Double-space.
5. One inch margins, left justified copy is no longer required.
6. Titles and subheadings should be no more than 10 words long and never in all caps.
7. No type in ALL CAPS or Small Caps.
8. Use underline only for email addresses and website links.
9. Citations to cases, legislation, and periodicals should be made parenthetically.
10. Case names should be italicized, not underlined.
11. The use of endnotes is acceptable but discouraged, especially multiple endnotes.
12. Footnotes are NOT acceptable under any circumstances.
13. Include the author’s full name, firm name, firm location (city and state), and author email
address for each article.
14. Include a head and shoulders photo presented in JPEG formatting for use with the article.
