MAXIMIZE YOUR SALES OPPORTUNITY WITH EFFECTIVE STORE DESIGN
www.tracpointwireless.com
by Andrew Pierce Director of Sales, Kiosko
Did you know...consumers make a subconscious buying decision within 5 seconds of walking into your location? So the question is, “does your location make a positive first impression?” Here are some key elements to focus on to help maximize some sales
1. Develop a plano-gram. A plano-gram is a detailed plan of exactly how everything should be positioned in your location. Make it simple but very detailed. It should be a “recipe” that all your employees can follow so that the end result is the same in every store. Displays should always be organized, current and full!
2. Lighting. The more, the better. A bright location is a comfortable location. Lighting on the product displays, lighted signs, general store lighting, etc.
3. Interactive displays Let the customers “kick the tires”. It is a proven fact that customers who can touch and feel the product will be more likely to purchase that product. Don’t hide everything behind glass showcases.
4. Less is more. Nice looking, well made fixtures will make a better presentation than just having slat wall all over the store. Buying nicer fixtures and merchandising around them will create a better look. Also, try to invest in fixtures of a modular design so you allow for future merchandising flexibility.
5. Let the customer take their coat off. Design the Point-of-sale area so the customer can actually sit down and spend more time in your store. Spending more time at your location translates into spending more money. Also, consider a family friendly area at your location with a TV, books, toys, etc. so the parents and spouses can feel less rushed while their family is entertained.
These design elements will put you on the right path to sending your sales upward. Please contact Andrew Pierce for further questions at apierce@kioskousa.com. Kiosko is the leading turn-key provider of Store Fixtures, Kiosks and POP displays for the Wireless Dealer Market.
