Vehicle Profile: 2013 Toyota Venza
Sleek, modern design blended with SUV capability.

Although the redesigned 2013 Toyota Venza is considered a crossover, it’s really a vehicle that goes beyond classification, as there is no other vehicle available today with the same blend of styling and utility. Designed specifically for American buyers, the five-passenger Venza delivers outstanding ride quality and nimble handling, along with the roominess, flexibility, available all-wheel drive and 3,500-pound towing capacity of an SUV.

With fresh, more aerodynamic exterior design enhancements and larger, 19-inch wheels for 2013, the Venza also offers cutting-edge technology like navigation and the popular Toyota Entune multi-media system, which integrates with smartphones to deliver web-based, voice-controlled apps like Pandora Internet Radio, Bing and MovieTickets.com; both navigation and Entune are available in all trims for 2013.

Buyers can opt for either a four-cylinder or a V6 engine and either front-wheel-drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) systems. The 2013 Toyota Venza is offered in three trim levels: LE, XLE and Limited. The LE and XLE are available with either engine, while the Limited comes standard with the V6.

Other new standard features for 2013 include Display Audio, outer-mirror turn signals and a Blind Spot Mirror on LE models. XLE models add Driver Memory Seat, Display Audio with Navigation and Entune multi-media, and Limited models feature LED daytime running lights and a 13-speaker JBL Premium Sound System with HDD Navigation and Entune.

The 2.7-liter four-cylinder generates a healthy 181 hp and 182 lb/ft of torque while returning impressive, 27 mpg highway (FWD models) fuel economy.

For more power, the 3.5-liter V6 puts down 268 hp and 246 lb/ft of torque with outstanding fuel economy reaching 26 mpg highway. Both engines come with a smooth-shifting, electronically-controlled six-speed automatic transmission. The available Active Torque Control AWD System balances power delivery between the front and rear wheels for superior cornering, acceleration and traction control in all conditions.

Because the Venza was designed with a lower center of gravity, it possesses athleticism that other crossovers, SUVs and minivans can only dream of. The Venza body structure features widespread use of gusseted high-tensile steel, for superior strength and rigidity without excess weight. The Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system in the Venza helps improve fuel efficiency, and it also delivers a perfectly weighted feel that makes drivers feel more connected with the road.

The aerodynamic and sleek shape of the Venza blends sporty accents and a high level of visual sophistication. An attractive grille and headlight design complements other tasteful touches like the angled rear hatch, spoiler, tight tire-to-body gaps and wide, wraparound taillights.

Unlike other family vehicles that sacrifice practicality in the name of sophisticated design, the Venza offers flexibility and versatility with conveniences like a large rear liftgate, a low cargo deck for easy loading, a spacious rear cargo area and split-folding rear seats.  A sliding center console cover/armrest hides three iPod holders, along with a USB port, auxiliary input and 12-volt power outlet.

Outstanding value in the Venza starts with the LE, which features dual-zone climate control, full power accessories, a power driver’s seat, a 3.5-inch LCD display and a tilt-and-telescope steering wheel with audio controls. The XLE adds standard luxury features like leather-clad seating, steering wheel and shifter; Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio integration; a power passenger seat; Push Button Start; a power rear liftgate and a backup camera. The Limited offers a seven-inch high-resolution split-screen display, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio and a panoramic glass roof with front power moonroof.

The Venza is also pet friendly, with dealer-available accessories like a rear liftgate pet ramp, a booster seat with harness and waterproof seat covers.

Like every Toyota, the Venza was designed with safety in mind. The Toyota STAR Safety System is standard every Venza, combining seven airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-Force Distribution, Brake Assist and Smart Stop Technology. All of this safety technology combines wrapped in the high-tensile steel-reinforced body structure of the Toyota Venza for superb driver control and occupant protection.

The all-new 2013 Venza is a standout in a sea of crossovers, SUVs and minivans, and it will be available this June. Stop by today with the entire family and experience firsthand everything this exciting new Venza offers.
