03-26-04 – In January 2004, the value of one U.S. dollar was equivalent to $1.30 Canadian, while in February 2004, the value of one U.S. dollar was equivalent to $1.33 Canadian. This decreased value of the U.S. dollar makes it more financially attractive for Canadian travelers to visit Michigan.
01-28-04 – According to the Federal Reserve, during the final two months of 2003 the value of one U.S. dollar was equivalent to $1.31 Canadian.
11-21-03 – In September 2003, the value of one U.S. dollar dropped to equal only $1.36 Canadian, and in October 2003 that decline in value continued until one U.S. dollar was equal to only $1.32 Canadian. This is the lowest value the U.S. dollar has seen in a long time in relation to Canadian currency.
10-10-03 – In August 2003, the value of one U.S. dollar was equal to $1.40 Canadian.
08-28-03 – The value of the U.S. dollar in July 2003 returned to its May level of one U.S. dollar being equal to $1.38 Canadian.
07-31-03 – Nothing new to report.
07-03-03 – The value of the U.S. dollar compared to the Canadian dollar continued to slide in June 2003 and ended the month with one U.S. dollar being equal to $1.35 Canadian.
06-11-03 – In April and May of 2003, the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar vs. the Canadian dollar continued a downward slide begun in November of last year. In April, one U.S. dollar equaled $1.46 Canadian, and in May, one U.S. dollar equaled $1.38 Canadian. This is the first time since October of 1997 that the value of the U.S. dollar vs. the Canadian dollar has been this low. Fewer Michiganders may choose to visit Canada if this trend continues.
05-02-03 – In March 2003, one U.S. dollar equaled $1.48 Canadian. This increase in the value of the Canadian dollar in the United States has positive implications on an increased number of Canadian tourists crossing the border to vacation in Michigan.
03-24-03 – In January 2003, one U.S. dollar was equivalent to $1.54 Canadian; however, that declined to $1.51 in February; that's the weakest the U.S. dollar has been in Canada since January 2001 when it was equal to $1.50 Canadian.
