Thank you.

Too often these days, we forget to take a moment to thank those who are important to us.  With the conclusion of the season, I thought it appropriate to reach out to you to let you know that I appreciate your support.  I also want to share some of my excitement about the future of our team.

I know most of you had a chance to watch this young team develop over the course of the season. I was proud of the way our team continually improved and showed progress throughout the year. After a tough start, we finished with a 17-26 record the final 43 games of the season, including a 10-12 run over the last 22 games. Al Jefferson also emerged as one of the best young players in the league as evidenced by being one of only four players in the NBA to average 20+ points and 10+ rebounds per game. And, at only 23 years of age, he will be a cornerstone of our franchise for several years to come.

Development of players like Al Jefferson and
Randy Foye, the ability to learn and grow throughout the season and building a sense of pride in playing every minute of every game demonstrates that our team is making progress.  We are teaching our young team to play the right way.  When you take this growth and look at the increased flexibility we will enjoy over the next twelve months in terms of first round picks (3) and salary cap room, I think our future is bright indeed.

Additionally, next year we will celebrate the Timberwolves 20th season.   Twenty years since professional basketball returned to Minnesota.  To celebrate, we have some exciting events and activities in the works, including changes to our existing logos and brand new uniforms for the team.  Next season promises to be full of fond remembrances as we look back at twenty years while at the same time we launch into a brand new era for Timberwolves basketball.

With all of this going on, why would you want to miss out?  Though most of you have already renewed your tickets for next year, there are still some of you that haven't.  Remember that if you renew your tickets by May 20th, you can still earn an additional 1,000 points to use towards tickets, memorabilia or one-of-a-kind experiences for next season.  Join us in rebuilding this team and have the satisfaction of watching it all develop from the ground up...

Thanks again for your passion for our team.  Remember to renew your tickets.  And let's work together to launch a new era of Timberwolves history.

Let's Build It!
