A Note from the Nutritionist
Focusing on Family
Something about June invokes a warm feeling of family for me. Maybe it’s the beautiful weather which brings everyone together for picnics and barbecues, or the Father’s Day tradition of honoring dear old Dad, or maybe it is just the fact that kids are wrapping up the school year which means more time for family togetherness. Whatever the reason, I hope you will take time this month to focus on your family. As a Women’s “circle of health” reader you probably already know that you need calcium, but what about the children in your life? Are they meeting their needs? In this issue we offer tips for helping kids get the calcium their bones need, and also discuss the challenges that can complicate your efforts. – Michelle Gibeault Traub, R.D
