A Note from the Nutritionist
Think Thanks
You give thanks every day right? Come on, be honest. Does the stress of daily life make it difficult to really, truly be thankful, EVERY day? If so, you are not alone. Many of us spend so much time go, go, going, that taking time out to actually be thankful is a real challenge. But, even when times are their toughest there is always something to be thankful for. Take some time during this season of thanks to express your gratitude. Whether it is a friend, a family member, or even the person who delivers your mail, everyone loves to feel appreciated, and spreading a few words of thanks will make you feel good too!
If you really want to get in the spirit, take a moment every day to jot down the three things you are thankful for that day. Just to get you started, here is my list:
- Receiving e-mail from happy consumers expressing how much they love Adora Calcium,
- Spreading the word on the latest health news and advice, and
- Brightening a “circle of health” reader’s day with a FREE bag of Adora Calcium (See our Contest of the month for more details).
Enjoy – and as always THANKS for reading! – Michelle Gibeault Traub, R.D.

ADORA TIP OF THE MONTH!
Make Room for Moderation
With
Thanksgiving right around the corner, now is a great time to talk about the
concept of moderation. America is the land of plenty and we tend to think in
terms of excess. This is displayed in the typical Thanksgiving spread which
often contains enough calories to fuel the family for a few days. The makers of
Adora Calcium are particularly concerned about promoting moderation in the use
of their product. Adora Calcium in chocolate tastes so good that we often hear from
consumers who want to eat more than their daily calcium recommendation. Too
much calcium (in excess of 2000 mg) is not helpful. So, after meeting your
daily calcium requirements with 1-3 Adora Calcium discs
(depending on your diet and age), practice these moderation tips:
- Brush your teeth, or chew a
piece of sugar-free, mint gum. Once your mouth is clean and minty-fresh,
you won’t want to spoil it by snacking.
- Take your mind off eating by
taking a walk, or writing an e-mail to a friend.
- Calm your cravings by
munching on an apple, a handful of grapes, or carrot sticks.
- Drink a tall glass of water
flavored with lemon. The tart taste will kill your craving for sweets.
