ADORA TIP OF THE MONTH!
Timing is Everything

When it comes to proper nutrition, timing is very important. The process of digestion requires a series of complex chemical reactions that break down foods ands supplements into tiny little particles that are absorbed into the cells of the digestive tract. But, these cells can only absorb so many nutrients at one time.

In the case of calcium, studies indicate that the body can only absorb approximately 500 mg at a time. That is why the makers of Adora Calcium have put only 500 mg in each chocolate disk. So, what should you do as a woman who needs 1000-1200 mg per day for optimal bone health? In order to absorb all the calcium you need, just be sure to take each Adora Calcium disk at least 2-3 hours apart. This can be as simple as taking your calcium supplement right after each daily meal – breakfast, lunch and dinner. Another quick tip to remember – try to take your calcium separate from a multivitamin or iron supplement, because calcium and iron fight for absorption in the digestive tract.
