Michener Art Museum Exhibition
Offering of the Angels: Treasures from the Uffizi Gallery

Offering of the Angels: Treasures from the Uffizi Gallery is a traveling exhibition from the famed Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. The exhibition features 45 works: two large tapestries and 43 paintings by Renaissance artists from the 15th to 17th centuries. This exhibition, along with related programming, will be presented at the James A. Michener Art Museum from April 21st – August 20th, 2012.

Oil paintings by legendary artists such as Botticelli, Titian, Tintoretto, Parmigianino, Cristofano Allori and their contemporaries will be on display. The exhibition has traveled extensively across Europe and this tour is the only time these masterworks will be seen in the United States, with the Michener Art Museum the only venue to host the exhibition in the Northeast region.
